Goalkeeper Kelvin Davis signed an extension to his contract with Southampton FC this week.
The veteran has been part of the club since 2006 and has experienced the lows with the club as well as more recently the rise.
His extension keeps him at the Saints until the summer of 2016.
He has played more than 250 times for the Saints as well as taking the captaincy in 2009.
But despite not featuring for the side since their 1-0 defeat to Leeds United in the Capital One Cup at the tail end of October, he is determined to challenge Artur Boruc for the number one slot at the club.
Davis, 36, said: “Southampton is my home and I have said for a long time I want to finish my career here.”
This contract extension follows Jason Puncheon who signed until 2016 earlier in the month, while Morgan Schneiderlin extended his deal to 2017 the week before.
