It took two weeks, 600 photos and a whole lot of patience to complete.
But Warsash youngster Isaac Greaves did it – he created a humorous animated Lego video showing celebrities canoeing along a river in Zambia for a Comic Relief challenge.
The 11-year-old Hook-with-Warsash Academy pupil spent his evenings setting up his Lego pieces and shot by shot created a video depicting a group of stars – including comedians Dara O’Briain and Jack Dee, Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm and radio DJ Greg James – take to the dangerously rough waters to raise funds for Red Nose Day.
Their Hell and High Water Challenge was broadcast on BBC One yesterday (March 14).
Isaac, who lives in Warsash, was proud his YouTube video has had more than 10,000 views since he uploaded it earlier this week and has so far raised £800.
“I’m just really, really pleased,” he said.
“I saw on the programme that the people have to walk two hours to get to school and two hours back. There was a girl whose dad had died and her mum was ill, so she had to do everything and wash everybody clothes.
“Seeing all of that I’m just really happy that I can raise some money for the people to help their lives.”
Isaac even included the ferocious crocodiles featured during the 111km trip down the Zambezi river and the part where Greg James announced in the Radio One studio that if he raised £50,000 he would jump into the river naked.

The pupil’s mum Suzi, 43, was so amazed by his creation that she tweeted the video to the charity and the celebrities involved in the challenge and was excited by their support.
“We’re so proud of him because he’s been thinking the whole time about how this money can be used,” she said.
“He was saying things like, ‘mum, this amount of money can help them buy a mosquito net.’
“He loves his Lego and filming with his camera, which he bought for himself, and it’s making a difference to others.
“He has so much focus. He set it all up with the camera and tripod doing each shot and making sure the light was right. His patience is incredible.”
Celebrities Greg James and Dara O’Briain tweeted about the video and said it was amazing. The Irish comedian even backed the school pupil sponsoring Isaac for £50.
As a result, people who saw Dara’s message on the social network even decided to sponsor Isaac for his work.
