Trainee Journalist

We are looking for a young and enthusiastic journalist to join the team at the Western Wards Gazette.

We are already breaking news stories from across the Western Wards and Fareham and we are getting more and more new readers every day. We now need to find an extra pair of hands who can turn their hand to digging out the stories that matter to our readers.

You will ideally have journalism or media qualifications or experience but just as important is a passion for writing, determination to keep asking questions and an inquisitive nature. If you are handy with a camera then that is an added benefit.

You will be able to work on your own initiative, have a great knowledge of what is going on in our area and some good contacts too.
