A 25-year-old man from Whiteley has been banned from driving for 18 months and fined for being more than double the drink drive limit in an Audi A3 car.
Police found Jason Waterman of Suffolk Drive had 80 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when driving in Deanes Park Road in Fareham on July 27. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
He pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Fareham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (August 14).
As well as the driving ban Waterman was fined £300 and ordered to pay victim surcharge of £30 and £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
