Pompey may have been buoyed by recent events off the field but this weekend must travel to current League One leaders Doncaster Rovers.
Portsmouth may hand Jack Maloney his first start for the club.
He came off the bench in the last moments of the recent 2-0 win over Bury and managed just over 20 minutes on Tuesday night in the defeat to Leyton Orient.
Maloney, aged 18, was an academy player for the club and the Isle of Wight born striker has been promoted to the first team for the rest of the campaign.
This came after Adam Reed was sent back to parent club Sunderland because the player was not being used regularly enough.
Pompey will hope to catch Doncaster cold – they were unable to play during the week because of a frozen pitch.
