Police have now released the identity of the teenager who died when her car overturned on the M27 after colliding with a barrier earlier this week.
She was Katie Haines, 18, of Partridge Gardens, Waterlooville.
At 9.30pm on Monday (September 2) Katie was driving a blue Ford Ka eastbound on the motorway when it left the carriageway at junction 12, the turning for Cosham, collided with a barrier and overturned.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are continuing their investigation and would like to hear from any witnesses to the collision or anyone who saw the Ford Ka prior to it.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hampshire Police Roads Policing unit, quoting Operation Finisterre, on 101.
